Museum Education Services

Our Education team deliver workshops to schools on a variety of topics supporting the national curriculum. Workshops allow children to get hands on School pupils enjoying a workshop at Doncaster Museumwith history, science, and art and are delivered by specialist and experienced museum education officers.

Our learning sessions can be delivered in Doncaster Museum or Cusworth Hall and cover many different topics including the Stone Age, Ancient Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. We also deliver science based workshops relating to Archaeology, Chemistry and Dinosaur & Fossils, and an art workshop based on sculpture.

Cusworth Hall Museum & Park provides a beautiful setting with purpose built learning rooms where children can immerse themselves in times past. Workshops cover topics such as Florence Nightingale, Toys, Seaside, Life in the Past and more.

Our Museum Loans Service also offers objects, artefacts, art, natural history specimens and more for schools to borrow.

Doncaster Council schools are entitled to a total of four free visits across both sites and up to 10 items from our Museum Loans Service delivered to your school, each half-term.
