VE Day Bunting
8 May 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day. VE stands for Victory in Europe. It is the day that the fighting between Nazi Germany and Europe officially came to an end in the Second World War.
VE Day was a time for celebration in Great Britain after nearly six years at war. There were street parties all over the country. The Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, announced that people would be able to buy red, white and blue bunting without using ration coupons.
Use our template to create your own bunting to celebrate the 75th anniversary if VE Day. You can make a lovely bunting chain out of paper and string, decorating it however you like. You could also see what old fabric you have around the house to make a more traditional bunting.
