Step Back into Roman Britain

Thursday 4 June | 10am-12pm | £8.50 per child, booking required

Discover the fascinating world of Ancient Roman culture and uncover why the Romans invaded Britain, and why they chose to settle in Doncaster. In this interactive workshop, pupils will dress up in Celtic or Roman clothing, try on an auxiliary soldier’s uniform and handle genuine Roman artefacts that are 2000 years old! Meet Peter, our archaeologist, and learn about his latest project exploring the Roman Gypsum Cast burial on display in the museum. You’ll even have chance to ask him all your archaeological questions.
