Let’s Discover – The First World War in Doncaster
Subject: History
Length: 1.5 – 2 hours

Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
Pupils will discover what life was like on the Home Front in Doncaster and learn about how the role of women changed during this time by exploring and handling real and replica objects from the First World War.
Workshop Two
Let’s Cook – Life in the Trenches*
Subject: History & Technology
Length: 1.5 – 2 hours
Key Stage: KS2
Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
Pupils will discover what life was like in the trenches over 100 years ago for soldiers in the First World War.
Pupils will read real Doncaster soldier’s accounts to find out more about the front line diet and make a cup of tea using a Tommy Trench Cooker.
*an additional £1.50 per pupil will be charged for resources if you book this workshop

Full Day (2 workshops per class): £10.30 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £215+VAT for a full day
Half Day (1 work shop per class): £6.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £160+VAT for a half day
Outreach Workshop
£7.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £200+VAT per workshop
