Let’s Discover – The Victorians in Doncaster

Length: 1.5 – 2 hours

Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
Pupils will find out what life was like for children during the Victorian period in Doncaster. During this session pupils will explore the differences between rich and poor children, find out what finger stocks were used for, handle real artefacts and have a go at washing clothes with a scrubbing board and brush in an old dolly tub.

Let’s Write – Breaking News
Subject: History & Literacy
Length: 1.5 – 2 hours
Key Stage: KS2
Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
Learn about the Romans through Queen Victoria is coming to Doncaster! Pupils will use their journalism and literacy skills to break the news on this sensational story. Pupils will learn how to create an eye- catching front page of a newspaper, and become news anchors for the afternoon!

Full Day (2 workshops per class): £10.30 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £215+VAT for a full day
Half Day (1 work shop per class): £6.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £160+VAT for a half day
Outreach Workshop
£7.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £200+VAT per workshop
