Let’s Discover – The Journey of Rail in Doncaster

Length: 1.5 – 2 hours

Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
This session is delivered in our Rail Heritage Centre alongside two steam locomotives. Children will get the chance to explore the gallery and our extensive rail collection. They will learn about Doncaster’s rich rail history and how it shaped the city today.
Workshop Two
Let’s Experiment- Programme a Vehicle
Subject: Technology & History
Length: 1.5 – 2 hours
Key Stage: KS2
Location: Danum Gallery Library and Museum
Synopsis
This session is about building and coding. Using, LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential kits, pupils will work collaboratively, follow instructions and experiment with simple coding software to get the vehicle they build moving.

Gold Members: 4 workshops onsite and 1 outreach workshop per package
Silver Members: 2 workshops onsite and 1 outreach workshop per package

Full Day (2 workshops per class): £10.30 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £215+VAT for a full day
Half Day (1 work shop per class): £6.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £160+VAT for a half day
Outreach Workshop
£7.20 per pupil (up to 35 pupils)
a minimum charge of £200+VAT per workshop
