About Our Curiosity Crates

We are excited to announce that we have recently been awarded some funding from Libraries Connected to revamp our topic box offer.

Our topic boxes are now known as Curiosity Crates and have a mix of engaging handling objects, a variety of brand new library books and some even include costume. As well as activities for you to use in the classroom alongside your crate.

At this time topics are limited but we hope with your support we can continue to grow this offer with more new books. Any feedback you can offer us on the new Curiosity Crates will help us to make them the best they can be.

Individual Price: £62 +VAT

Doncaster Local Authority schools are all Gold Members

Gold Members: 8 boxes included in package

Silver Members: 6 boxes included in package

Bronze: 6 boxes included in package

Delivery to and collection from your school is included.

Duration

Topic boxes are for a half term.

Delivery and Collection

We drop off museum loans at schools and collect them again to save you the hassle.  Delivery dates will be confirmed upon booking. (Please note this is Doncaster schools only).

Invoicing

You will be invoiced for your topic box after delivery. All payments are made via Buy Doncaster. Your workshop will be added to your basket upon booking.

Conditions of loan

  • Items should be checked immediately on receipt
  • The borrower is responsible for the care, security and safety of items on point of delivery until they are collected
  • Please report loss or damage immediately
  • All loss and damage will be charged to the school. Please do not try to fix the items yourselves.
  • Objects and paintings should not be displayed in direct sunlight or next to a room heater
  • Whilst items are on loan it is the responsibility of the loan institution to ensure items are handled appropriately by pupils, teachers and/or members of the public. No responsibility will be taken by Doncaster Council for any physical injury sustained by persons using items from the topic box collection
  • Items in your care must not be placed on loan to a secondary institution
  • Please ensure that all units are in a central area on the collection date
